This is, in fact, a simple seaweed pattern found on the beach – nothing added and nothing removed. Only the colours have been removed and reduced to white on black. Then, in my imagination, there emerges a young lady, nervously responding to a knock at the door, late at night

Looking back through pictures from my visit to Pitsford Reservoir I was attracted to the patterns formed by groups of birds. The two images below have been processed in a manner that draws attention to the ‘pattern dimension’. The patterns have not been manipulated, just isolated.

The statistics tell me this is post No. 600! Doesn’t time fly when you’re enjoying yourself?!
Perhaps it was a combination of the odd glass of wine and the onset of the pantomime season that encouraged me to see an Aladdin-like character in this seaweed ‘abstract’!
