When the colour is removed and particular attention is given to shape, outlines and markings the images could sometimes, perhaps, be interpreted as initial designs intended for other purposes.

Of course, flowers attract a great deal of attention in the garden, but there is interest elsewhere too.

Within the contorted tangled of roots on this rotting tree stump there is (for me!) a natural sculpture of a lamb and a ewe’s head! Perhaps you can see it too.
Not really ribbons. Not really rocks. The image is derived from a single thread of cotton set against the texture of a pebble.
I was undecided which of these two images to use. I like both – hence, you have two for the price of one!
