I like the watercolour effect of the image below, although the watercolour filter was not used.
I was attracted by the contrasts between the grasses and the ferns – the juxtaposed shapes, textures, patterns and the freshness of the different shades of green.
Looking across the sheepfield this morning there were strong shadows contrasting with the sunlight illuminating the textures of the seeding grasses
and the sheep!
I decided I need a brief interlude from the winter palette!! So, the colours may be unseasonal but I find this image refreshing and cheerful. I hope you do too!!
I enjoy the freshness of the greens, the crispness of the lines and the overall design effect of this random, natural pattern.

Although the buttercup has suffered from the persistent rains, the cow parsley and grasses have positively thrived. The verge beside the bridle way is waist high.
The picture below was taken in morning sunlight, looking across the field adjacent to my garden.
