The Isles of Scilly, situated 30 miles off the southwest tip of Cornwall, form an area of outstanding natural beauty. An interesting feature of the landscape is the number of granite outcrops that take on the form of naturally sculpted mysterious creatures or characters.

Between photographing it from that angle and processing the photo with so much lively color, you have really animated this rock! Maybe if it was seen from another angle in less exciting colors it wouldn’t have as much character. Nicely done!
The photo was taken from the path just below the rock and that certainly helps the composition. Creating the atmosphere was a different story and involved much experimentation
