The coastal region of North Norfolk is designated an Area of Outstannding Beauty. It includes numerous stretches of salt marshes and mudflats. These, in turn, include Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest. The pictures below are from the Blakeney Nature Reserve.

This is an unfamiliar landscape to me but looks hauntingly peaceful.

Very nice, Louis – I like the open spaciousness of the photos. It’s a good thing these wetlands were preserved!!
I enjoy the special character of the salt marshes and they provide such a valuable natural habitat, especially for the bird life.
