The ‘Eureka!’ moment.

The moment of realization; the breakthrough; the solution; the  flash of perception.

Rampant Cow Parsley

The bridleway stretches for almost one mile, fringed on both sides, at this time, by rampant cow parsley throughout its entire length.  I am not a great lover of cow parsley, but I am attracted by the ‘architecture’ of the growth beneath the canopy of white florets

Princess Louise – the first poppy of the year.

One of my favourite Oriental Poppies is the delightful Princess Louise.   The flower pictured below opened four days ago  and is  the first in my garden this year.

Its beauty is confirmed by a closer look.
