Many thanks David. Your comment is interesting. I am fond of the large scale paintings of the ‘colour field’ artists – Clyfford Still, Barnett Newman, Marc Rothko, Jules Olitski – and from time to time I am conscious of their influence on my own abstract images.
This is excellent, I almost believe you have been doing a little ‘impasto’ as I can see this as a large (very large) oil painting.

One I wish I owned is the Clyfford Still – 1951-E with the little bit of blue at the bottom.
