Two standing stones – or two Neolithic sun worshippers frozen in time?

Now you mention it they do look like frozen sun worshippers – although that sounds like a contradiction!
For me, they are looking to the right, out of the frame, which seems to enhance their stillness.
Initially the composition troubled me – until I personified the stones. Then the image took on a whole new meaning. I agree; they are looking out of the frame and there is a focused, meditative stillness.
