Today’s post and the two following offer three interpretations of the same object – a cracked drinking glass
In this image the glass is presented as a straight still life photo.

Wonderful Minimalist study, Louis – less is more it certainly is! Adrian
Many thanks. I’m pleased you like it. I hope you continue to enjoy my posts.
SO very much like a drawing. Fascinating!
Currently I’m going through a phase of using other media and artistic styles as a stimulus for my own processing.
This is beautiful; I really like the composition, lines and muted palette – as Elena says, reminiscent of a drawing – or maybe more pen/ink or charcoal …
Thanks Noeline. I’m trying to explore the ‘cross-over territory’ between painting, drawing, etching and photography. While certain similarities with the variousr media are often apparent, the outcome is essentially digital – a product of our age that, for me, is neither better nor worse than many earlier developments. It is merely another tool.
This is so strong. And I also like the third interpretation a lot – but there, it becomes something completely different.
I enjoyed the self-imposed challenge of creating different interpretations of the same still life.
