Even though the tree at the top is devoid of the lush green of its neighbor, the little bird sitting in its branches makes it feel more alive.
How strange that against such an intricate background one small bird should be so prominent!

Did you see it before you took the picture? It’s interesting what can sometimes ‘appear’ on a computer screen!
After several days it finally dawned on me that this reminded me of a William Morris print.
