Two faces of winter

The pictures below are of the same tree taken on two consecutive days, yesterday and today (Friday).   Yesterday shiny patches of bark sparkled in the  brilliant winter sunshine.  Today, following an overnight fall of snow (our first this winter!) the sun still shone, though somewhat intermittently.

  1. What a difference a day makes! Winter is my favourite season for photography but I’m still waiting for snow 😦

    • Like you I find winter a very stimulating season for picture-making and there will be evidence of this in posts to come. Otherwise, I’m afraid I no longer enjoy winter!

  2. Oh my goodness! Beautiful! Now you are making me nostalgic! 😊

  3. Looks almost like two different seasons!

  4. Snow can be so transformative – great idea to post these together.
