Lovely iridescent sheen 🙂
Many thanks. I’m pleased you enjoyed the image.
Thanks for the introduction to this bird! She’s new to me.
The Jackdaw is a member of the crow family and is quite commonly found in fields and gardens in the UK. Jackdaws are very social and congregate in flocks, often intermixing with crows and carion crows
Beautiful photo, Bert, we are wondering where it was taken?
Many thanks. It was taken through the kitchen window!!
Gorgeous colours! The jackdaw looks a little bit like a Bower bird here. 🙂
I’m pleased you like this Gigi. I don’t know the Bower bird – must set that as homework!
I’d heard the word but never realized it was this bird – nice photo! Crows are wonderful creatures, so interesting.
They are – but they can also be quite boisterous and noisy.
What a gorgeous richly coloured bird hiding in your grasses. Beautiful.
