These two ‘abstract’ patterns are derived from photos of seaweed attached to a breakwater and exposed only at low water. I was attracted by the variety of shapes, colours and textures.

Dark and light, red and green, brilliant!
Thanks Lois. The variety is amazing isn’t it?
I am always attracted to seaweed. It seems so otherworldly.
I find seaweed a very rich source of unusual shapes and colours – and it is true, there is an invitation into a very different environment
I love seaweed too.. and these are marvellous colours
I have scores and scores of seaweed photos – there is so much variety in types, shapes, colours etc and endless scope for experimenting and playing!
I like the first one very much – the flow of all those curves is great, and the colors and wetness of it all.
Thanks Lynn.
It’s raining seaweed! Lovely again Louis, 🙂
Thanks Gigi. Not cats, dogs and possums!!
