Golden Marguerite

Although popularly known as the Golden Marguerite, the Anthemis tinctoria ‘E C Buxton’ is a delightful pale yellow flower.  It forms a compact shrub and flowers throughout the summer.  This photo was taken three days ago and the shrub is still in full bloom.  Because it bears so many flowers the beauty of the individual flower is not always appreciated.  In particular, notice the swirling pattern at the heart of the flower.
