When shot like the first pic, the mug takes on a personality. I see him as Clark Gableish.
I think you’re right – ‘suave, debonair’, though I’d never have described my coffee mug in those terms! Actually both pictures are of the same mug taken at the same time. The difference in ‘character’ between the two images is quite interesting.
